The Changeling

This tragedy is propelled by the inability of certain characters to grasp the intentions or machinationss of other characters. (Ex: De Flores, Beatrice = murder) But the integral use of interiority and its tragic capabilities is not the only occassion in which the unseen/elusive/hidden is manifest. On her wedding night, Beatrice must fake the "virginity test," essentially disguising her physical-spiritual-sexual self. How do these two tropes work with or against one another?
